Oke-la -homa....... OK!

Here I am with Jen, a blogging buddy for the past year. We are at the Spaghetti Warehouse for lunch. Yum Yum. We hit it off right away. What a neat experience to meet up finally. We'll have to arrange visits more often.

This gorgeous fountain in Bricktown. Keep in mind that I HATE all my photos of me preggo now. But the fountain is amazing.

All over OKC, you can find painted buffalo's. Here is an area that was full of these quirky paintings. This is only half the field. You can see a wall painted as well. That mural ran on for many blocks and the scenes were the history of Oklahoma. On top of that wall was the train track. I saw many trains travel these tracks from my hotel room. I don't ever see any trains now where I live. I find it charming to see these things. I wish my own city had public artwork like this.

OKC has a minor league baseball team. I believe they are called the RedHawks...I'm not too sure, I can't remember exactly. Anyhow, this is their field. Mickey Mantle Stadium I believe it's called. I need to re-read my literature on the city. There is a statue of Mickey Mantle right outside the ball park entrance. Maybe I will post that photo one day.

And this is a view of the Memorial in OKC. April 19, 1995 the Murrah building was bombed and many people were killed. This memorial is on the site of that building. It's really beautiful here. I am sad for the victims, many of them children.
