A bedtime story

Once upon a time there was a little family that lived in a big blue house. A mommy, a daddy, and two little sons. They had 2 cats, one orange and one brown. The cats loved to go back and forth between inside and outside. One day the little family in the big blue house got 3 more cats, another orange one and 2 gray ones. From the first day the new cats came home, they had to stay inside, so the older cats had to stay outside, since the old cats and the new cats did not like each other. And because the old cats were outside, so was their food and water.
One evening the mommy that lived in the big blue house went to visit her friend that lived in a little brown house. The mommy was helping her friend until late at night, when finally it was time to go home. When the mommy returned to the big blue house, she saw that the rest of the little family in the big blue house had adopted two more animals while she was gone. These animals were eating very heartily and drinking up the water. Oh, they were so healthy looking; nice shiny fur, plump bodies. Obviously very well-fed from their previous owners. The mommy thought:
Oh my! These animals sure do look funny, cute but yet kind of creepy at the same time. The mommy thought that she would make sure she was supposed to see them, in case they were supposed to be a surprise from the kids. So she used her little silver cell phone to call the daddy in the big blue house before getting out the car.
"THERE ARE 2 HUGE CREEPY RACCOONS OUT HERE BY THE CAR EATING ALL THE CAT FOOD, SO GET OUT HERE AND CHASE THEM AWAY SO I CAN GET OUT OF THE CAR AND COME INSIDE!" said the mommy to the daddy.
And so the daddy and the eldest son came out to chase them away, and the mommy got to go inside without worrying about getting rabies from a wild raccoon.

The End

Ew! We used to get raccoons occasionally before we moved here. Our house backed up to a foresty-looking area and we got all kinds of critters :) They would get real brave, though...they would dig in the garbage, and they weren't afraid of us, unless we came whoopin' and hollerin' to chase 'em off :(
