Birthday Party

Las night we hosted a family dinner in honor of Ben's birthday. All relatives within 75 miles came to eat hamburgers and chicken grilled outside. With some corn on the cob and roasted potatoes. YUM! Then Ben opened some presents, among them, action figures, an Atlas puzzle (Ben just loves anything having to do with maps) some clothes (which he took one look at and pushed aside) some Nerf ball sling shots, and others. The funniest gift he got was a box of Marshmallow Mania Pebbles cereal. From his grandma. Being that I do not buy these sugary cereals for the kids, grandma thought she would give Ben some. I'll send the kids over to her house after they eat them. They can bounce on HER walls. HA! His biggest and best present of all was from Mommy dearest, a tent!
It's an indoor tent that he can play inside or sleep in it using his blow up sleeping bag. It's a lot of fun for the boys to play inside this tent. Just imagine, their own little space. Ben was sharing with Aaron, wasn't that nice?
Pictures to come soon.

Sweet cereals - great idea. I'll have to store that away for future use. I'm sure some of my friends' children have upcoming birthdays!!

P.S. We bought Deanna a Little Mermaid tent, similar to Ben's, when she was about 4. She still uses it at 9 and loves to sleep in it when she has friends over. She's a little big for it now, and her feet hang out the door, but she still loves it.
