The big "C"

The spot on Jason's arm turned out to be a malignant melanoma.

We found this out four days after he had it removed. Then he had to have surgery to remove more tissue and a lymph node so that could be tested to see if it had spread. This surgery took place in our hospital under general anesthesia tha left him with hiccups for the whole week. He was miserable.
We got that pathology report back today.

The cancer has not spread. The docs got it all with the first cut they did almost a month ago.
Thank God! We were really scared. I do not know what is next for him as far as keeping the cancer away or further treatments.

Just be Praising God that it didn't spread further. It was perhaps God that tempted him to go to the dr. when he did.

I'm so thankful. I had a friend that used to work with me that had several spots of melanoma on her back. The doctors worked very aggressively on her and believe they got everything, but she's banned from sun-bathing and can only swim in the morning or evening and, even then, must be covered completely. Jason's lucky it was on his arm and not his face. I'm sure glad they were able to get it all and the prognosis is good.
